Since some time the young Lisa Black was in a very good mood. She was the only one who had managed to tie herself to the poor lone some Lucky Luke. Lisa even had dragged Luke along to the altar where they both had said I do. But a marriage couldn’t stop Lucky Luke to do his good deeds.
But by Lisa too he had done a good deed. For quite a while she wasn’t alone anymore. Now Lisa was so far that she couldn’t keep her secret for herself anymore.
“Just a while and then my not lonely anymore cowboy comes home”, she said to herself.
She watched herself in the mirror and thought that she looked good.
Somewhere else Lucky Luke rode on Jolly Jumper whistling home.
“Just a while and then we are home”, said Luke.
“I am curious if your wife still knows you. You haven’t seen her for 8 months”, reacted Jolly Jumper.
“She will have to get used to that. I can’t help it either that the Daltons keep on escaping”, answered Luke.
“Maybe they have kidnapped her”, laughed Jolly.
Lucky laughed too while they rode upon the yard.
Lisa woke up by the arrival of a horse.
“There is my hero!”, she said smiling.
She tried to come up but because she was extremely pregnant that didn’t go very fast anymore. She shook up the pillows and went to lie half down.
“Then my Lucky must greet me this way”, she said sighing.
The front door went open and the visitor walked straight to the bed room.
“Lisa!”, said Lucky.
“Lucky!”, said Lisa.
He went to sit by her on the bed.
“I am going to have our child soon”, said Lisa.
She put his and upon her belly. ‘This can’t be real, can it?’, thought the shocked cowboy.
At that moment the poor lonesome cowboy woke up bathing in sweat. He looked around him and was very relieved.
“What a nightmare!”, said Lucky.
He got up, mounted on Jolly Jumper and rode with him towards the sunset while he sang, “I’m a poor lonesome cowboy”.
