COMPUTER GAMES

Mitch Cartwright was playing a computer game on internet but because his 7 month old brother Benji and sister Lisa were sleeping the boy had put the head phone into the laptop. The uncle of the children, Hoss, saw what his nephew was playing and watched how the game had to be played. Mitch saw that his uncle was watching along and got laughing eyes.

“Mitchy, could I play that game as well?”, asked Hoss.

“I think so. Why?”, the boy asked on his turn.

“Just that way. You just keep on playing. Then I will do some work at the yard”, was the answer.

Hoss left his nephew alone and went outside. What Hoss hadn’t seen was the high score which Mitch had gotten. Hoss thought, :‘Tonight when that eldest nephew of mine sleeps I am going to get a better score than his! Or no: crush it!’

That evening Hoss didn’t get a single chance to play the game because Adam needed the laptop to check the school work of Mitch.

But at night when Hoss was awake once again due to his empty stomach he saw his chance. He got up and first went to empty the fridge. When Hoss had finished doing this he went to the big living room where the laptop of Mitch stood. He sat down and started the machine. Quite soon Hoss had found on the internet the game which Mitch had played that afternoon. The first few times his score was lower but soon it became more. Then Hoss saw that the headphone was still in it and he unplugged it. The game got restarted but now with the volume out loud. The sound of the bells which had to be clicked away sounded through the big ranch house.

Everyone and the adults and Mitch came downstairs.

“ERIC HOSS CARTWRIGHT! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU BUSY WITH?”, Ponderosa owner Ben Cartwright asked angry.

“Oh eh hello pa. I was just playing a computer game. I saw it Mitchy laying this afternoon and wanted to crush his score. I am sorry but it won’t happen again”, Hoss answered who felt quite caught.

Quickly he shut down and went back fast to his room.

“Adam, I demand that tomorrow you put a good password on the laptop off your son. And don’t tell that password to your brother!”, said Ben.

“That will happen pa”, answered Adam, the father of Mitch.

“Grandpa, don’t you worry because uncle Hoss shall never be crushing my score”, said Mitch.

“And why could he that never do that?”, asked de rancher.

“Because I am the son of Adam Cartwright and so more intelligent”, was the answer.

“Mitch, off to bed”, Ben said smiling.

The following morning Adam helped Mitch with the password on his laptop yet before Hoss had woken up.

“Can uncle Hoss now not break into my laptop anymore?”, Mitch asked for the security.

“No, only you and I know the password. Between the two of us: I rather think that your uncle has had enough of computer games for the time being”, answered Adam.

Adam turned out to be right because Hoss didn’t interfere anymore with the works of Mitch on the laptop.
