It was a warm summer day when the three Cartwright brothers (Adam, Hoss and Little Joe) went swimming. They had a steady swimming spot which nobody knew. At least that’s what they thought. But arrived at the lake they heard and saw a woman drowning in the water.
“RESCUE RED ME! I AM DROWNING!”, a woman’s voice called.
“Hoss, Joe, someone is drowning there in our water”, Adam called.
He and his brothers jumped from their horses. In no time the brothers were undressed, the woman was rescued and she came by on the bank of the river.
“Who are you?”, the woman asked hesitating.
“I am Adam Cartwright and that are my younger brothers Hoss and Joe. Who are you?”, Adam asked on his turn.
“I am Gloria Davies. Do you live here?”, she asked.
“This water is ours. Together with the land around it”, said Joe.
“May I give then you this bottle Whiskey for you rescuing me?”, asked Gloria.
She gave the bottle to Hoss who tasted it as first. He took a sip and spit it out right away. Adam and Joe did the same thing.
“Who has made this poison? The Smurfs?”, asked Adam.
Gloria looked at him as she saw water burning.
“Do you are to doubt at my brewing arts?”, she asked snappy.
“Yes”, the eldest Cartwright boy answered.
“I am rewarded with ingratitude again. You are ungrateful beasts!”, she snapped.
“You drown in our water and we are ungrateful for your bad whiskey? In fact we should have let you drown but that is environment pollution. Just let Roy take care of you”, reacted Adam.
Hoss tied the woman tight while Adam and Joe got dressed. Here after Gloria got held under gunshot so that Hoss could get dressed.
Gloria got put on her horse and taken along to Virginia City. Sheriff Roy Coffee saw the foursome coming and knew enough.
“Hello boys, caught something?”, he asked cheerful.
“Yes, a very bad whiskey brewer named Gloria Davies. She was so called drowning in our lake”, answered Adam.
“Gloria Davies? That is a coincidence because ma’am has tried this morning to palm whiskey to the Lucky Nugget and the Silver Dollar saloon. It failed because Clem and I walked in”, said Roy.
“Here is that piece of miserable”, Hoss said while he gave the package to the sheriff.
“You mean: disbrewing”, Joe corrected his brother.
Roy accepted the package and put her behind bars. When he came outside again the Cartwright broers had disappeared already. He was very glad because if there was one or more Cartwrights in town something was bound to happen.
