ASKING THE WAY

One day Hoss Cartwright was in the wood. It was clearly that he was lost.

“Dadburnit. I have rode totally wrong”, Hoss said to himself.

He looked around him but didn’t recognize the area. Suddenly he heard growling from behind a bush. Quickly Hoss dismounted and he hid his horse Chubb and he looked at the bush. Big was his amazing when Hoss saw a she-bear appearing.

“Say what a bear”, Hoss said admiring.

Again the she-bear growled. She stood on her hind legs and waved at Hoss with her fronts paws. Now Hoss knew that he could trust the she-bear and he got up. He walked up to his new girlfriend and held her tight by her fur. The she-bear held Hoss also tight and for a moment their love looked sealed.

“Say Mrs Bear, I am lost. Do you happen to know the way to the Ponderosa?”, Hoss asked whispering.

As if the she-bear knew the way she pointed out the right way.

“Thank you Mrs Bear”, Hoss said relieved.

He grabbed his horse and mounted on. Quickly Hoss rode in the right direction waved by the she-bear.

Finally Hoss reached the living world and he was the she-bear eternal grateful. He resolved himself to not to tell anything about the she-bear to his brothers Adam and Joe. They wouldn’t believe him anyway.
