Hoss Cartwright came running into the bed room of his younger brother with the message, “Joe, you must come out of your bed from pa!”
The youngest Cartwright brother was still princely sleeping when Hoss came in. But by the yelling Joe came up and he hit his head by his bed.
Joe said while rubbing across the painful place on his head, “*@#$%! *@#$%!”
Hoss came closer, checked the bed and said calm, “Fortunately your bed isn’t damaged.”
“You are more concerned about my bed than my head! That is great”, Joe grumbled.
“Chagrin! Are you planning to stay in bed all day?”, asked Hoss.
“Now that I have gotten a concussion by your yelling yes”, was the answer of his brother.
He went to lie down and pulled the blankets far across him. Hoss pulled the blankets away and checked the lump on the head of Joe.
“What are you such a poseur. There is nothing to see. Or is that lump your head?”, asked Hoss.
“Very funny. If you disappear out of my room now I can wash and get dressed. Even though I have a terrible headache”, Joe said angry.
Hoss left laughing the bed room which made Joe even more angrier and made that he remained the whole day in bed to avoid his older brother. By way of precaution Joe locked the door and closed the windows.
