Abstract

The Critical Period Hypothesis, a myth that makes most of parents worrying about when to start their children’s second language education [SLA]. Is “the early, the better” really a rule of SLA? What is a really “critical period” of SLA? According to Snow, the most important aspect is the “optimal condition”. Thematerials that really influence second language acquisition is going to be depict in this thesis.
