Why do People like Online Games?

In recent years, playing online games is the most common entertainment for children and adults. In fact, online games can be a healthy entertainment or a bad and attractive amusement. Some parents are always worried about that children may indulge themselves in games and become violent by playing online games. However, in my point of view, there are some advantages for playing online games. First, we can improve our mental abilities by playing online games. The process of playing online games will not only motivate us to think how to win the games but also make us have a sense of accomplishment after becoming winners. For instance, I played a fun online game which was in English in this summer vacation. Because I wanted to win the game, I needed to know every English vocabulary in the games. Eventually, I became a winner in the games and also improved my ability in English. Second, we can release our pressure from real lives by playing online games. Take Julia for example, she is my best friend who liked to play online games very much when she was angry and sad. She said that she always beat monsters in the games and had a sense of achievement to be a hunter when she had a bad mood. I consider that she transformed her bad feelings into the monsters in the games and released them by killing the monsters in the games. To sum up, we can play online games moderately and sensibly and become winners in both reality and online games.
