Three Types of University Students

Humans do have different personalities and characteristics because everyone is unique and is born to be different. However, some people still have similarities and can be classified into the same group. As to university students, we can classify them by their attendance, learning attitude, as well as their performance. From my perspective, there are generally three types of students in universities: model students, ordinary students, and class skippers.

First, model students are the species who come to class on time and never skip classes. They have the characteristics of being hard-working, and they are always focused on the lectures. They take good notes and never talk to others or bother others. While doing assignments, they always do much research and hand them in before the deadline. Model students also review after the lectures and prepare well before the exam so they can take it confidently. This kind of students usually gets high grades due to their good performances.

Second, most university students fall into the category of ordinary students. They come to class because they want to get full attendance which is also seen as a part of grades. However, they do not concentrate on the lectures but just do their own stuffs like talking, sleeping, playing online games, and surfing the Internet. They are going to face problems while preparing for the exam as they did not concentrate well or listen to the lecturers carefully. Their performance and learning attitude are bad, which leads to their low grades on exams.

Last, class skippers are those who have low attendance in universities. Some of them seldom come to class and some have never shown up in classes. Apparently, they will have low grades on their attendance and assignments as they seldom attend the lectures. They do not receive any information about the examinations, either. They probably only show up on the examinations or even are absent for them. However, they will still get low grades even if they have good performance on the exams since most lecturers still consider their attendance and also their performances in class.

University is a small society that contains various kinds of people. This environment actually reflects our jobs and attitude and shows that we are going to work with various kinds of colleagues in the future. It would be hard to work with class skippers as they are people without the sense of responsibilities. And it would be tough to find a nice co-worker, too. We should do our duty and also try our best to assist others on work.
