The Reasons Why College Students Like to Take Part-time Jobs

     Many college students like to take part-time jobs. According to the newspaper of PCCU, the rate of taking part-time jobs is very high. And I will show you three reasons why college students like to take part-time jobs.

    First, making money is an important thing for some college students. Maybe they want to buy something for themselves, or they have to provide some money for their families. Because most students do not have much money, they want to earn some money by themselves. When college students have much money, they can do a lot of things. For example, buying expensive things, eating in a nice restaurant, or doing investments are the things which they always choose to do.

    Next, college students take part-time jobs just because they feel bored. They want to do something different, and not just focus on their study. If college students have free time, some of them are eager to find part-time jobs.

    Third, having work experiences is important for some people who want to find a job. If people have work experiences, they will find a formal job more easily in the future. Often from the part-time jobs college students can learn something they cannot get from the textbooks. And when they graduate, their abilities will be better than those students who did not do part-time jobs before.

    To sum up, college students take part-time jobs to make extra money, to utilize their free time, or to gain working experiences. No matter what kind of part-time jobs they do, most of the time they can learn something from them.
