My Dormitory at Chinese Culture University

Joy Lee

The Chinese Culture University is located in Yang-Ming Mountain. People who don’t live in Yang-Ming Mountain have to take buses, ride motorcycles or drive cars to go up and down to get to the school. It takes about 30 minutes to arrive at the nearest MRT station. It’s a little inconvenient to go to school for those who do not live near school. There are four dormitories at the school. One of the dormitories, Da-Tsz, Hall, where I have lived for a year is very small and crowded. Every day we have to climb long stairs to go to classes, because it is the shortest way to go. But I think it is good for us because we can take it as an exercise. There are four people living in one room. Every time when we get into the room, we have to walk like a crab because the room is too narrow to pass. There are just two fans on the wall so we are like living in an oven in summer. We have to climb a high ladder to our beds. Because the ladder is so high that we have to concentrate on our steps or we may get injured with a fall. We also have to bend our head because the beds are close to the ceiling. Sometimes when we climb up to the beds, our head may get hurt. I think except these problems, everything is fine to me.
