Haircut Regulation

When I was in junior high, there still existed the haircut regulation. That is, every girl should cut her hair short. Thus, everyone’s appearance looked the same. Nowadays, there is no haircut regulation in junior and senior high schools. Students can change their hair color, hair length, and hair style. But is it a good policy for students? Maybe some people don’t approve it, but I think it is a good way for students to demonstrate themselves.

First, students may have more chance to decide their hair style. Now, it is a liberal civil society. Everyone has the right to protect their own body. Many girls regard hair as their second life. After the haircut regulation was removed, girls can keep long hair. With good-looking hair, students may have more confidence. Also, as teenagers decide what hair style they want, they are developing their ability of judgment. They learn to take responsibility for themselves.

In addition, parents can discuss with children what kind of hair styles they like. It is a great way for parents to interact with children. Because many parents are busy with work, they may ignore children’s growth. With the lift of the haircut regulation, parents and children have something more to talk about. Through communication between parents and children, family relationship can be closer.

After the haircut regulation was removed, students have become more creative and energetic, and the school has been reinvigorated with youthful vigor, become more colorful and diverse. The most important is that students will not argue with drillmasters or teachers about their hair. And thus the drillmasters will get along with students more easily. The school will have fewer troubles, which also makes a better environment for learning.

In my opinion, removing the haircut regulation is a good policy. It has good influences on students, parents, as well as schools. I am happy for such a change.
