Should High School Students Wear Uniforms?

More and more high schools abandon the rule of wearing uniforms. The reason is most students prefer to wear beautiful clothes in school. However, students’ parents and adults have different opinions against students’. In my opinion, the uniform is essential to students. If high school students go to school without uniforms, they do not look like students. Besides, there are three reasons why high school students why I need to wear uniforms.

First of all, students tend to compare with their classmates. Thus, they would pay too much attention to their clothes. Thus, they must think what styles of clothes are suitable for them to wear the next day. Maybe some students are scared of being teased by their classmates because of wearing the same dress. Therefore, if high school students have to wear the uniforms, the above problems would not appear.

Second, students do not earn money by themselves, so they ask their parents to buy new clothes for them. However, some family cannot afford to buy many clothes for their children. Moreover, it is not necessary for students to wear beautiful clothes. Students’ only responsibility is to study, so there is no need for them to dress themselves like models. No wonder most students’ parents support schools to have the rule of wearing uniforms.

Finally, when students leave schools with uniforms, they would not do something bad because people can recognize soon which school they study in. Thus, students have to do everything properly. Moreover, some students regard their schools as their honor, so they like to go outsides with uniforms. Having students wear uniforms is a good way to restrict their behaviors.

As far as I am concerned, schools cannot abandon the traditional rules of wearing uniforms. After all, the uniform has been a symbol of high school students for a long time. And people should retain this tradition.
