Time for Changing my Lifestyle

      Most people would not care about their own health if they did not really get sick, and I am one of them. In the past, I would think staying up late sometimes is nothing because I am still so young. Every time when I stayed up late, I never thought that I was destroying my health repeatedly. We can often see the news about a person who dies suddenly in our society. Most of the time, the reason is that they do not sleep and use their sleeping time to do their work or use the computer for too long and so on. The thing which shocks me is that the age of those people—most of them are young. After watching too much news about sudden death, I have started to think about if staying up late is really nothing for me?

      Although knowing that staying up late is not appropriate, sometimes I still forget its bad effects. Then, I will often tell myself that to stay up late once or twice is okay. Actually, I know clearly that I was just soothing myself. I just do not want to recognize that I am doing the wrong thing and make myself feel better. However, the motive really pushing me not to neglect the seriousness of the matter is that my health has appeared some problems. It lets me know I cannot harm my body anymore or some day I will regret that I did not pay much attention to my health.

      Because I am a girl, I have monthly periods just like other females. Last year, my periods became strange. Therefore, my mom brought me to the hospital to know what the reason was. Then, the doctor told me that the problem came from my lifestyle. He said that I stayed up late too frequently so I did not have a regular lifestyle. He also said this illness is very common for most people now because there are too many incentives enticing people not to have a regular lifestyle. More and more people drop into the eddy of night life, so they do not have the suitable rest. Because of that, people will get sick more easily than before. Consequently, he advised me, “If you want a healthy body, you cannot stay up late anymore.” After that, I have made a decision to change my lifestyle right away.

      Now, I have a very different lifestyle. Every time when I have to spend a great deal of time doing something, I will start it earlier and avoid staying up late. Most people will not understand how important their health is until they really get sick just like me. Fortunately, my illness is not too serious. Therefore, I really value my health and avoid anything which will harm my body now. Just like the proverb people often say, “After losing, you will just know how to treasure.” That is definitely true and I am agreeing with the suggestion about having a regular life very much. Because after changing my lifestyle, I can have much more spirit to do things, and more power to keep away from illnesses.
