My Interesting Family

Joe Su

I am the third child in my family, so I have one brother and one sister to share everything with me. When I was a kid, I even imagined that I was the only child to monopolize whole love of my parents. But I gave up the idea soon because the situation would be boring. Actually, I want to say there are many differences between me and my siblings, so I try to provide some evidence to prove that. We are just like three different products from the same factory, but each one has unique beauty.

I always have some crazy idea in my brain; I was a strange child in the eyes of my parents. I liked to dress up myself in my own style. I didn’t like popular fashion; I even liked punk or hip hop style. But my sister likes to dress simple to express herself.

My brother and I have different hobbies, too. I enjoy music; my brother likes photography and reading. The music style I like is heavy metal rock and hip hop because I can feel powerful emotion from heavy metal rock; hip hop’s quick and strong rhythm shocks my body. My brother chooses reading and photography because he is a silent person. He hates something noisy and likes to spend whole afternoon reading detective stories. I think that personality is main reason that makes us so different.

Everyone has his/her own favorite taste. If my friends want to persuade me to eat some delicious food whose flavors I can’t accept, I will probably say no to them. I like Italian food, but my parents like Japanese food. So there are quite a lot of conflicts in my home. Japanese food is light, simple, and appeals to senior people. Italian food is more attractive to young people because its pasta is spicy, fragrant, and tasty. We have different requirement for eating to satisfy our body.

My family and I are different in several ways, but I still love them. If we have the same hobby, the same taste and the same opinion, everything would be tiresome. Our differences make us closer. No person could be judged whether his personality is good or bad; everyone is unique in the world. Every child is the most precious treasure to their parents.
