Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

Now it is the season for graduating from universities. Many students worry about their future. What should they do in the future? Some of them may find jobs; some may study at graduate schools. What kind of occupations do they choose? People choose their occupations for different reasons: to make money, to help others, or to make the world a better place. I think the most rewarding occupation to me is being a magazine editor.

Everyone has a dream, and so do I. In my childhood, I dreamed to be a fashion designer. But now I am English department student, I want to find some jobs which are related to English. And I hope I can learn designing in the environment where I work in. So I would like to choose to be a magazine editor.

I want to be a magazine editor for several reasons. First, I can develop my English ability. Second, this occupation is suitable for my personality because I am not outgoing. Not everyone can do a job like public relations officials or sellers. And I like to do things in my own space. Third, if I am a magazine editor, I can help my sister who is good at painting deal with her creations and learn something from the creations.

People choose their occupations for many reasons and I choose mine not only to make money but also to live a meaningful life. Doing a job which will not limit my rest time and I am interested in is the most rewarding occupation to me. So to be a magazine editor may be the best choice.
