    People often say that exercise is great for health. As far as I am concerned, this is a truth. Regular exercising is good to health and can delight our mood, but if we were absent-minded, we would be likely to suffer from serious sports injury. I am going to share my sports injury experiences and give suggestions about how to prevent form basketball injury and jogging injury.

    First of all, basketball game is a highly competitive sport. I used to play basketball in senior and junior high school with a crowd of my friends. One day I broke my ankle; it was so painful that I could not stand up then. The reason why I was injured was that I looked at the girl beside the court. I did not focus on the basketball game. Playing basketball is a highly risky sport leading to ankle and knee injury easily. Although I am not a professional basketball player, I should have worn a professional ankle and knee protector.

    Jogging can cause injury too. Jogging is a common sport in the USA and Europe and is getting more and more popular in Taiwan. I was fascinated by the advantages of jogging. My immune and resistant system is not good. When I started jogging, my health recovered gradually without any medicine. One day when I was jogging in the park, I hurt my back and leg. The main reason why I got hurt was that I did not do warm-up before exercising. Jogging is a relatively friendly exercise compared with other sports, but it still needs proper warm-up. Besides, Jogging requires a pair of good running shoes. Good running shoes can protect us from getting injuries.

    With my experiences, I firmly believe that exercise cannot be done without focused attention, proper protection and sufficient warm-up. I have learned valuable lessons from the sports injuries I had and will never make the same mistake again. If we can prevent the sports injury from happening, we can enjoy the benefits of exercising more.
