To Be Or Not To Be

I succeeded because I willed it, I never hesitated.—French Political Leader, Napoleon. Whether we should administer some important things or not is hard to decide sometimes, and most people will not choose the former because of hesitation. I prefer the former because I have undergone some event which let me feel regretful. There are three reasons why I stand up for this point.

“If you knew this would happen, you should not have done it in the first place.” We always hear that statement, when people feel regret for something. Regret is a phenomenon we can find in “To be or not to be.” Take me for example. This summer vacation, the girl who I love invited me to Canada. During the trip in Canada, I had many chances to show her how I love her, but I did not. I not only lost my chance but also destroyed our relationship. Until now, I regret for not doing anything. Regret always resides in our heart; however, if we can be more active, we can avoid our heart’s becoming regret’s residence.

Trying is an important element to success, but people are afraid of attempting. Many people can succeed because they try different ways to do their jobs. Although they make something wrong, they get experience by erring. Most youngsters nowadays are like strawberries. The great man, Edison, learned everything very hard. He liked to try different ways in everything and do experiments anywhere. Finally, he invented the light bulb to benefit the whole world. By contrast, many youngsters cannot endure any stress or any wrong. Failure brings about success. No one can succeed without any failure.

By executing some missions, we can test our ability. Testing our ability is important for the freshman of society. My bakery teacher always says, “Although there are many people laughing at you, life is yours, and no matter the test passes or not, the result demonstrates how many abilities you have. Do not be afraid of testing. Do it, and you will not regret that you have taken the test.” Nowadays, many people are afraid of having the responsibility for implementing the mission. If people dare not face the problem, they should lose the chance to grow.

In short, to be or not to be depends on the individual. No matter what we choose, we cannot be regretful because it is our choice, but I prefer to choose the former, or we will be a frog in a well.
