The Advantages of Taking the Public Transportation

       People are suffering from inadequate energy sources nowadays, many specialists work hard to figure out substitution as soon as possible before the Earth dies out. Before achieving that goal, everyone has responsibility to protect the Earth from damaging. One thing we can do to protect the globe as an individual is to take the public transportation. As a result, I’m going to mention some differences between driving cars and taking the buses.

      First, it is a practical problem about finance controlling. The choice of public transportation includes buses, the MRT, local trains, and high speed rail. For example, taking the bus for a certain distance costs NT 15 dollars for an adult, the MRT costs NT 20 dollars within 4 stations, and local trains cost fewer than NT 1000 dollars for the longest trip and NT 18 dollars for the shortest trip. The most expensive transportation is high speed rail which costs less than NT 2000 dollars each. For my case, it costs only NT 400 dollars per week. It is definitely different from driving cars. For gasoline for cars, one kilometer costs about NT 3 dollars and full gas box costs around NT 1200-1500 dollars a week for my car without parking fees. And also you can never imagine how much parking fees damage your pocket!!

      For protecting the Earth, there are several negative effects of driving a car. The most serious bad effect is making air pollution which is harmful to our health. In addition, cars usually cause traffic jams in rush hours, and it would increase the possibilities of accident. Moreover, people get hurt and troubles more easily than taking the public transportation. Why don’t we just choose the better option? Furthermore, because of traffic jams in rush hours we would be likely to be late for our appointment. It is absolutely not worthy for our business. Although we can manage our timetable, we cannot foresee how much time would be wasted on traffic jams and searching a parking space. It’s all unpredictable.

      There are apparent advantages of taking the public transportation. We can save more money, time and of course prevent unnecessary distressing events. Anyway, taking the public transportation enables us to not only protect our earth but also save a lot of time and money.
