Two Fast Food Restaurants

Fast food is a trend in this generation. Modern people do not have much time to cook or buy meals, so the fast food restaurants become their first choice. KFC and McDonald’s are the two most famous fast food restaurants in Taiwan. Although the two restaurants seem the same, still they are very different in many ways. The most obvious one is the price. The second difference is the representative food of the two restaurants. The last is their mascots.

The price of foods in McDonald’s are lower than those in KFC. The major strategy of McDonald’s is to provide foods within one hundred dollars. Thus, the customers are mainly young people and students. The restaurant offers discounts once in a while. That is why McDonald’s is so popular with the young age group. KFC’s price is more than one hundred. However, some people like to spend more money to eat at KFC. The wonderful service makes the performance of the corporate business better and better.

In addition, the recommended specialty of the two restaurants is different. I think McDonald’s French fries is the most delicious of all fast foods served in the fast food restaurants in Taiwan. Just imagine putting a sprinkle of salt or a splash of ketchup on the hot fries! The taste is irresistibly tasty. The hamburgers in McDonald’s taste good but there is nothing special about them. As for KFC, its fried chicken is the first option. The company has a special recipe which makes the fried chicken the best. The company has come up with many different flavors for fried chicken. That is a successful strategy of KFC.

The last one and the most interesting one is the mascot. Ronald McDonald is the mascot of McDonald’s. He is based on a real person named Michael Polakovs. He was a famous clown in America. In 1966, McDonald’s invited him to create a representative figure. And it became a sensation. KFC’s mascot is based on the founder Harland David Sanders. He rose in life by his own efforts.

Different restaurants have different characteristics. People can enjoy a variety of food in them according to their preferences. I used to take fast food as my meal very often. In my opinion, I prefer McDonald’s to KFC. I just cannot resist the delicious fries.
