School Rules: Eating In the Classroom

      Nowadays, there is a controversial issue. Most schools hold the opinion that students can’t eat in the classroom, but some students have opposing ideas. They said schools should not keep a rule on eating in the classroom.

      I agree that schools set a rule to prohibit students’ eating during the class. As a student, I need to concentrate on the lesson rather than eating in the classroom. I think it is not polite to the teachers if we eat when they are teaching.

      Another reason why I agree with the school rule is that I think students’ eating during the class will bother other students. If my classmate next to me is eating the McDonald’s meal, the smell of food will make me feel hungry. I think students’ eating in class will affect the quality of our classes.

      Some students may argue that they do not have enough time to eat lunch. Because their schedule is very tight, they need to eat their lunch during the class. Otherwise, they will feel hungry and can’t concentrate on the class.

      Eating in the classroom is not a good habit. It will result in many problems. First, there is a lot of garbage being left in the classroom. Second, classmates may be bothered by the one who is eating. Third, eating during the class isn’t respectful to our teachers. I think if we do not eat in the classroom, we can not only keep good quality of our class but also get good grades on the test.
