Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

Which job will come to your mind when you see the word ‘hospital?’ It is very easy so I think all of you can figure it out right away. That’s right. The occupation I want to mention today is doctors and nurses. What is the special about these jobs? We can realize the value of these jobs from three aspects－irreplaceable quality, high income, and the volunteer work.

Every time when I see those doctors and nurses work hard to save others’ life, I feel they are so great to do their jobs. If we did not have doctors and nurses in our society, I cannot imagine how our world would be. If we did not have these occupations, all the creatures would vanish gradually. That would be very terrible. So I really thank those who want to be a doctor or a nurse or those who really do these jobs. Because of its irreplaceable quality, these jobs become one of the most respectable occupations in our society.

Another reason that makes people want to choose this occupation is the income. Doctors in our society can have high salary. And those who are famous and with great medical skill can earn the pay people cannot imagine. Therefore, some parents who want to change their family conditions may borrow money from their friends or somewhere else to provide their kids to study and hope they can study hard to become a doctor. We can see this kind of story in the drama or in our society. Because of this thought, more and more people want to be a doctor in order to make a fortune from their job.

However, why do I think these occupations are the most rewarding? It is not for their irreplaceable quality or admirable incomes. The most important reason is some doctors and nurses go to those backward countries to be volunteers. They have to make a hard determination to work in those backward places instead of the well-equipped hospital or the comfortable clinic. That is really a hard task for them because they cannot have the same resource as they work in the city. Besides, they will be much busier than before. Although the environment cannot be as comfortable as the hospital they used to work, these doctors and nurses can gain more than their colleagues who do not have this unusual experience. Therefore, if we have a chance to be a volunteer in the future, we should devote all ourselves to it. After doing lots of meaningful things, we can make these jobs become more and more rewarding and show the value of these jobs to others. Via these jobs, we can not only gain others’ respect and high income but also help and save people’s life. Therefore, I think these occupations are the most rewarding jobs in our society.
