Should Men Stay Home

     In the past, once a woman and a man got married, the woman could only stay home to take care of her children, her husband, and the whole family. On the other hand, the man should work outsides to make money to support family. In the modern society, the tendency is changed. A majority of women become career women. However, with the high rate of unemployment, many people are out of work. More and more men don’t have work. They have to stay home to take care of everything, but some of them don’t like to stay home. They have more pride than women, and they have the traditional thought that men should work outsides to support family, but I think men can also stay home to take care of everything in the home.

     In the modern society, women have more career opportunities than before. More and more men stay at home to take care of everything. I think this is a good thing. According some research, the absence of a father in the family is the biggest social problem in modern society, so if a father doesn’t have a job, he can stay home to accompany their children, participate in their children’s day-to-day experience, and hear their children’s heartfelt wishes.

     The stay-at-home fathers can also teach their children many things. They can share some life experiences, teach them some moralities and how to get along with others well. They can also play with their children, and create many happy memories among them.

     Once their wife comes home after working, they must be very tired. The husband can take  some family responsibilities off her shoulders, complete household chores before the wife comes back. I think this is also a sweet manner between the couple.

     In short, it is a new time. I think men can throw away all traditional thoughts, and learn to be a good stay-at-home dad.
