My Most Unforgettable Experience

Joy Lee

I thought it is not very difficult to be a club leader; however, I was wrong. I have joined school’s chorus for a year. I was very happy when I practicing singing. Last semester, our club leader asked me suddenly, “Joy, do you have any aspiration to be the club leader next year?” I answered,” If there’s a chance to be a club leader, of course I want to try.” We chose the next club leader in our final class. One of the students, a former club leader, ask me and the other candidate seriously, “If there’s a student who doesn’t want to join chorus any more, what will you do?” I was too shocked to say anything because I hadn’t thought this kind of question before. In my opinion, I just want everyone to come to the chorus and sing happily. After a while, the other candidate said, “I will ask him or her why he or she wants to leave. If he or she insists on leaving, there must be something wrong with what we did. The most important thing is we should do something to make changes no weather he or she leaves in the end.” At that moment, I realized that a leader has to think more than others. If I become a club leader, there must be some complex things for me to deal with. How difficult it is to be a club leader!  In the end, of course, I was not elected. It is the most unforgettable experience for me. I also learn a lot in this unforgettable experience.
