The reason that we should not allow children to use the Internet too early is it will lead to some problems about their physical and mental development. If the kids are addicted to the Internet or online games in the learning age, they will have the problems like being unable to focus on their study, lacking exercise, and becoming more aggressive.

One of the negative effects of spending too much time using the Internet is that they cannot focus on their studying. When they spend the whole day playing the online games, browsing the web pages or watching the drama, they are not able to concentrate on their school lessons, homework or do the preview before the class. It may let the kids become the problem students in the class because they cannot focus on what the teacher teaches in class. The only thing on their mind is online games or something about the Internet. It will cause their grades to fall behind their classmates’.

The other reason why we should be aware of these negative effects is that children will lack exercise during their growing period. If the kids spend the whole day sitting in front of the computer without any exercise they may be shorter and less physically fit. In the long term, their confidence may be affected because their appearance and performances in sports are not as good others’. This will indirectly affect the children’s mental development.

The final reason is that children addicted to the Internet will become more aggressive. Young kids usually have no adequate judgment about the virtual world and reality. They may imitate the bad actions, and emotions, and apply them to the real life. For example, some sociopaths can’t distinguish what is real and do the wrong and cruel things in the real world. Therefore, it is necessary to restrict the time and content when kids are using the Internet and teach them the correct concepts to develop their discriminating ability. Parents have to prevent children from misunderstanding the reality because of the Internet.

In conclusion, kids addicted to the Internet cannot focus on their learning, have poor health, and may behave more aggressively. To these youngsters, the online games are more important than their school life. However, indulgence on them may cause the health problems and that is why parents should pay attention to the frequency and the purpose of children’s use of the Internet to ensure that their children use the Internet properly and safely.
