Four Classifications of Constellations

Nowadays, it is common for people to know more about their personalities through constellations. Astrologers divide them into four classifications through astrology, and they are the Fire Sign, the Earth Sign, the Air Sign, and the Water Sign. Each of them stands for four different traits which have advantages and disadvantages.

First, the Fire Sign contains Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius. People in this category are full of enthusiasm, but they lack patience. They are passionate to do everything. This kind of people is warm, determined, confident and innocent. However, they are also impulsive and arbitrary, and they don't have good tempers. I think my brother fits this category, and of course his constellation is Leo. He is enthusiastic, but he is easily irritable. Sometimes he can make me crazy because he often thinks he is right even when he makes mistakes.

Second, the Earth Sign contains Capricorn, Taurus, and Virgo. Stability and realism are their basic characteristics. People in this category are realistic, independent, and conservative. They do things discreetly. On the other hand, this kind of people is awkward. They are not good at changing their ideas spontaneously. Take me for example. My constellation is Capricorn. I am this kind of person, but I hope I can be alert in everything so that I can change my ideas timely.

The third is the Air Sign, and it contains Aquarius, Gemini, and Libra. People in this category are very rational and unruffled. They can deal with everything well because of good logic, and they are good at expressing. So, this kind of people is wise and sociable, and these are their basic traits. Nevertheless, they are too idealistic, indifferent, and unpractical. Most of them believe their own judgment very much. Both of my parents' constellations are Gemini, and their birthdays are the same. It is wondrous, but their personalities are very different. My mom is sociable and passionate, but my father is indifferent and quiet. I hope their personalities can be mixed.

The last category is the Water Sign, and it contains Pisces, Cancer, and Scorpio. People in this type are romantic, but they are also unpractical. They are very perceptual. Though they are not as glib as the Air Sign, they can express their emotions greatly, and no one can be better than them. This kind of people has good intuition and imagination, and they are sentimental. But, because of the great sensitivity, they often hesitate and can be affected easily. Just like the Fire Sign, they need more boldness to make decisions.

The four classifications are made by astrologers, and those traits can be good references for us to know ourselves and others. When we want to know what our personalities are, we can refer to those classifications to think if we are like people with some particular characteristics. Many of us are interested in these classifications which then become the popular topic of conversations. Some people think these categories are very accurate in depicting people’s character traits, but other people don't think so. In my opinion, these classifications of constellations are for reference only, and we need to know a person from different perspectives and through careful observations.
