Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

People choose their jobs for many reasons. Some people want to do something they like, some want to earn lots of money, and the others want to dedicate themselves to their jobs without repayment. For me, I prefer dedicating myself to the society. I want to be a social worker, although it is a hard job for many reasons.

Social workers work in different places, like hospitals or communities. In the hospital, the social worker has to accompany the patients. He or she has to help the patients who are ill or disabled. In the communities, the social worker has to help many kinds of people: the woman or the child who suffers from domestic violence, and the child or the old man who is not taken care of.

A social worker named Hui-Yi Wang has ever said being a social worker is not an easy job. Also, our government does not give social workers appropriate help and salary. Social workers have to be very patient, listening to suffers in order to help them solve the problems. The payment for the social workers is not so high, but they need to put lots of effort in their job.

I want to be a social worker because I like to help people. Helping people can make people happy. I like to help my friends to solve their problems. I always listen to my friends talking about their worries, which makes me feel needed and happy. I do not want any financial rewards.

Being a social worker is a rewarding job for me though it is not an easy job. I will try my best to accomplish the goal. I like to help people. Doing the job which I like is a rewarding choice for me. Although I don’t get good payment for my work, my spirit is satisfied.
