Nowadays, there are more and more illegal copies around us, such as copied music and movies. In my opinion, people buy illegal copies for several reasons.

First, it is more convenient for people to get the illegal copies than genuine editions. Many of the illegal copies and the original editions are published simultaneously. The Internet is a quick way for not only searching movies and music but also downloading them. People don’t even need to go out to buy the genuine ones. Just sitting in front of the computers and clicking on their mouse, everyone could get the pirate copies fast and easily.

Second, there isn’t time limit when people buy the illegal copies. And they won’t feel anxious or disappointed when the genuine editions are sold out. They will easily get the pirate copies anyway.

Finally, I think the price is the most important reason that makes people buy pirate copies. The illegal copies are usually much cheaper than the original editions. If people buy the pirate copies, they can save a lot of money or buy more at the same time. So they can see more than one movie or listen to many kinds of music at lower prices. After all, money is usually put in priority when people choose products.
