The Advantages of Having Older Siblings

I have a sister and a brother. My sister is 30 years old this year. We have a big age gap. My brother is older than me, too. He and I are two years apart in ages. When I was little, I liked my brother more because I thought my sister was quite mean at that time. She was in senior high school, and was in the adolescence while I was a kindergartner. That is why we were not intimate fifteen years ago. Although we were not close before, her attitude to me gets different now.My brother has taken care of me a lot since we were little children. We always went to a stationery store together to draw lots to get prizes.As the youngest in the family, I have always received care from my sister and brother, which is even more after I get older.

My siblings teach me a lot of things. For example, when being confused about math or science in junior high and senior high school, I could ask them for help. My math is really poor, and science is too difficult for me to understand. That is why I need their help. Before exams, they taught me not only the knowledge in the textbooks, but also the skills for answering questions. My brother likes having me play video games with him and teaching me how to play them. At first, I did not want to learn about video games because I had no interest in them. After the teaching of my brother, I found video games were not as boring as I had thought. Playing computer games and video games becomes one of entertainments in my free time now.

When going outside with my sister, I donot usually need to bring any money. Although we did not completely like each other many years ago, we do get more and more intimate now. I guess the reasons are that no matter she or I have grown up and that we are not as full of sap as before. I love going shopping with her because she often buys what I like for me. If both of us have holidays, we will go to the Global Mall near home or stroll down the street. She always brings me to visit clothing stores, and I sometimes buymore than she. We love to visit stationery stores, too. Before the school opening, I can get plenty of new stationery. Besides, I can get delicious desserts for free because my sister is fond of trying something new and buying it for our family. The dessert we enjoy the most is the ice cream of Cold Stone. There are many flavors in the menu, so we need to consume there many times to try every special flavor once. Going outside with my sister is the most relaxing and happiest time.

If I feel lonely, they are always beside me.Some of my friends do not have any sister and brother. They told me they always felt lonely and bored when being home alone. I think I am fairly fortunate to have an unselfish sister and an interesting brother. Chatting with my sister amuses me a lot. I am fond of gossiping our favorite idols with her because nobody can let me chat about K-pop idols a lot. We went to concerts of the K-pop group together. After the screaming and shouting, we could discuss about the songs, the handsome boys, or how exciting we were onthe way home.When I have nothing to do at home, my brother asks me to go to the convenience store with him. He will buy some snacks for me. What he likes to do the most is still playing video games with me during his holidays. We always spend our free time doing this. Although a lot of people think it has no advantage, I consider it is a completely relaxing activity. Moreover, video games make many memories between me and my brother.

I am a lucky girl who has intimate partners for a lifetime. Even if there are still many dissatisfying things, we are always the closest. I think families are the most important forever. No matter I am confused, desirous for something, or bored, my sister and brother accompany me in place of parents. Some people who do not have sisters or brothers often do not want to go back home because they will feel lonely. Siblings are different from parents. They will do something parents will not do. That is why there are many advantages as a youngest sister.
