The Characteristic Needed to Be Successful in Life

Nowadays, people usually need to work in a group to accomplish things together instead of working alone to show individual achievement. The majority of people claim that working alone makes work done efficiently and is good for personal promotion. However, I don’t really stand on their side. I believe that working in a group can bring one success.

To begin with, this is a group working society. Thus, everyone ought to learn how to work with others and get along well with them. By doing so, people might learn more from their group members. That is, their coworkers may point out the mistake that one made, so that they can make a further discussion to improve the program. Moreover, they can pay more attention to details and share their different points of view.

Take my team work experience for example. Our high school was going to hold a school fair and every class had to prepare a performance at the ceremony. My friends and I were discussing what we could do on that day; later we decided to have a dance performance. We needed to dance in a group of twenty people; therefore, everyone had to follow the rule and cooperate with others.

Everything went pretty well until we found out that the person who was asked to have a solo dance quitted one week before the performance. Everyone was shocked and didn’t know the reason of her quitting. Hence, we worked and practiced even harder in order to make up her ruin. Fortunately, we still made a good performance on the school fair. But for the girl who quitted, she never worked well with our classmates anymore. Even if we tried to ask her out after the school fair, she would just refuse our invitations. That is, she was alone for the rest of the school years.

Cooperation is really an important way for one to be successful these days. Without having some matching partners, people might not be able to get the best benefit from anything. Thus, it’s important that everyone should learn and try their best to work in a group.
