The Way to Succeed

     Most people want to succeed in careers. However, they may not know how to achieve it. It is not easy to succeed. Actually people who are successful had to overcome many difficulties or devote a lot of time to their jobs. Three famous people doing well in their careers are good examples showing resilience and persistence in successful people. The first is Wang Yung- Ching, the second is Stanly Yen, and the third is Steve jobs.

     Speaking of Wang Yung- Ching, I should praise him. He is really great. In his childhood, his family was poor. His grades were also the last in the class. In order to have a better life, he went to work and was a laborer in a rice store. Then he realized that having meals is really happy. At that time he was diligent, hard-working, and frugal. He started from scratch, and with his diligent work, he built Formosa Plastics Corporation. Surely he is an influential entrepreneur. He thought that there were not tips and shortcuts to succeed. Youngsters should be hard-working, work painstakingly, and as a result be able to learn many things during work. After several years, they might make some progress in work.

    Another person is Stanly Yen. He didn’t study in the university, and he only graduated from senior high school. In his mind, he was just a common person, but he made up his mind very early. At the age of twenty three, he entered American Express to be a person who delivered words. After being a deliverer, Stanly Yen was interested in service. At the age of twenty eight, because of his good attitude, Stanly Yen became a manager of American Express in Taiwan. At the age of thirty two, he became the chief executive officer of The Landis. He thought that understanding himself, learning things truly, and trying his best were the way to succeed.

    The other is Steve Jobs. He was really smart, but he wasn’t good at learning. His teachers encouraged him, and he began learning. In senior high school, he met Stephen Gary Wozniak. They started to create software. These two people built the company called Apple. In Steve jobs’ mind, people should never give up. Even though we will encounter some troubles, we need to solve problems. He had a famous statement, “The only way to do great work is to love what you do.” If you haven't found the work yet, keep searching. Don't settle. Choose one thing you like, and try your best to do it. Then you will have a strong feeling on it.

    Although we may be frustrated during work, we just have to overcome the difficulties. We will eventually get over the troubles. I believe everyone can be successful some day as long as they try their best to solve problems.
