Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

I think we work not only to make money but also to help other people. There are countless occupations which can contribute to the world. I know English is important and essential in the whole world. With the development of technologies, we can obtain different countries' information from the television or the Internet. For instance, we can know various foreign movies, foreign songs, or foreign stars. On the other hand, Chinese has also become much more influential than before. Thus, the most rewarding occupation for me is to be a Chinese teacher, who teaches foreigners Chinese language. I think it is a cool thing to teach foreigners Chinese, because we can let foreigners understand our beautiful Chinese culture and we can have cultural exchanges with them.

Due to the Kung Fu movie, many foreigners are interested in Chinese culture. They are curious about our costumes, music, food, and language. As they see calligraphy, they think calligraphy is so beautiful as art. So they want to learn Chinese to understand our culture. Many foreigners think Chinese is the most beautiful and difficult language. I know there are many beautiful, distinctive, and difficult languages in the world. I am still really glad and proud because many foreigners love Chinese culture and they even want to learn Chinese, so I want to be a Chinese teacher to teach foreigners Chinese language and our culture.

Of course, we have to be good at not only Chinese but also English if we want to teach foreigners Chinese. Chinese literature is beautiful and complicated. And it may be quiet difficult to foreigners. There are many metaphors and images in Chinese literature. Even though foreigners can know each word, they may not able to understand the true meaning of a piece of Chinese writing. We also have to understand the western culture and their literature so that we can tell foreigners the difference between Chinese and western culture.

To sum up, by being a Chinese teacher, I can not only make money but also spread our culture. I think to be a Chinese teacher to teach foreigners is a challenging thing, but I believe I can achieve this goal if I work hard. Being a Chinese teacher is really the most rewarding occupation that I can have in the future.
