Abstract
This paper argues that although Enoch has undergone dramatic changes, his family remains the motivation for him to overcome dangers and difficulties. First, He went to sea to make living for his family, and then survived the shipwrecked. Eventually, returned. He did not reveal his homecoming so as to keep the new family of Annie and Philip instead of destroying it. Even though he encountered challenges and struggles and suffered many difficulties, he determined to choose the best way for the benefit of his family.
