Friends

Agnes Lan

The most important people in our life are our friends, beside our family; however, my feelings to them are not the same. I classify friends into three types according to the degree of closeness we have with them. They are nodding friends, ordinary friends, and close friends. If I am out of my family to go to work or school, friends will help me a lot. When I need assistance, friends will also support and encourage you.

Nodding friends are the ones you meet in some situations. You do not know that person very well. You will nod your head or say hello when you see the person. For example, you line up to buy lunch in the school cafeteria and you wait it for a long time, you may chat with the person beside you. Next time you meet the person, you will greet him with a smile.

Different from nodding friends, ordinary friends are the people you know more about. They might be your classmates or some friends in a group. For instance, you meet your classmates of senior high school and you will not only nod your head but also chat with them. The friends in this kind are the majority.

It is very hard to find close friends. They are friends that you can share everything with, and you are just like good sisters. You help each other, support each other and care each other’s feelings. They may be your classmates or friends you grew up with. They may be the friend you do everything together in school. One is extremely lucky to have some close friends.

No matter what kinds of friends you have, be friendly to them. That will be helpful for you to make some new friends. At first, people you know may be just nodding friends but the more you chat with them, the more you know about them. Later, you may become good friends. That’s how to make close friends, right?
