Globalization is not only a turning point but also a crisis. It has brought us many advantages as well as disadvantages like two sides of the same coin. First, globalization has caused strong connection among countries. Under severe competition, it has promoted huge increase in productivity and economic development worldwide. On the other hand, multinational capital flowing frequently on the international has also affected the stability of the regional/local economy. For example, European business failure trigged East Asian financial crisis at the same time. Second, the Internet has speeded up globalization and thus has reduced the international barriers. The Internet is not constraint by space and race, so no matter where you are and who you are you can access any information and enjoy what you like on the Internet. However, it is a virtual world, so you are not able to identify who the person really is on the other side of computer. Due to the prevalence of the Internet, con artists can contact each other and get latest news easily from their conspirators. Finally, most culturesconfronts huge shocks. They are blending both innovation and assimilation. The former one makes our culture diversified with new ideas. We will have more colorful life and we can experience different cultures and our countries will progress faster than ever. The later one may cause our own tradition to vanish unknowingly. Once our traditions disappear, we will lose our own features or identity. Therefore, globalization has brought us conveniences and harms.
