An Essential Quality of Good Leaders

What are the essential qualities of a good leader? Of course one has to be brilliant. Second, he or she has to be popular. To me, the most important quality of a good leader is the ability to unite people. A team comprises of various groups of people. The leader must gather everyone together and take everyone’s opinion into account. That is a huge project.

To unite everyone, the leader must listen to everybody’s voice. People might have different opinions and they need to be realized. Otherwise the team might break apart. To convince everyone and make them work toward the same goal depends on the leader’s communicating skills.

Take an example of the leader of America. President Obama has such a power. He respects everyone on the team and is able to unite everyone in the nation. He has never judged any ethnic or specific groups in America. Also he is good at communicating with people. He puts everyone together and shows his leadership.

The President-elect of America, Trump, is just the opposite. He only cares about specific groups and looks down upon the others. He doesn’t even respect women at all. In my opinion, Trump should respect everyone in America and try to understand them. Otherwise I don’t think he will be a successful leader. The ability to unite people is something he doesn’t have.

To unite everyone needs a lot of effort. The leader must have not only communicating skills but also charm to make everyone pay attention to what hesays. If I were a leader, I must have the ability to handle everything, but I certainly lack the talent to make people listen to what I say. That is the ability I must improve to become a good leader.
