The Advantages of Studying in Starbucks

     There are many advantages of studying in Starbucks in terms of the following three specific elements: cost, location, and environment. Imagine you are sitting in a cozy couch in a coffee shop which is filled with fragrance of coffee, reading beautiful literary works written by great writers, listening to some pleasant classical music, writing some lovely poems and having a cup of hot Latte. How romantic and wonderful the scene is! This is one of the benefits of studying in the coffee shop, and here are more advantages below.

     Proper price is always my primary concern when it comes to the right place for studying. The cost of studying in Starbucks is approximately one hundred NT dollars for a cup of coffee and with it I can stay as long as I want. Moreover, I can bring my laptop by using the Internet free. By contrast, the cost of studying in a private studying center is based on how many hours I have stayed, usually twenty to fifty per hour. And studying at home consumes electricity of the air-conditioner and the lights. Compared with studying at home or private studying center, studying in the coffee shop like Starbucks is more economical.

     Next, the location is another issue that concerns me. The nearer the place located, the more convenient it is for me. The cafés are everywhere in the downtown, so that I can reach any of them within half an hour. As to the libraries, they are usually far from my home, and I do not want to waste my time on the bus or the MRT.

     The third consideration is the learning environment. The advantages of studying in Starbucks are that I am able to have foods and drinks at my table and having discussion with others also helps me to solve my problems. Besides, the seats in the café are spacious and comfortable. By contrast, having food and discussion is forbidden in the library, and the seats in the library are usually not enough.

     Although the majority of students choose the library for their learning place rather than a coffee shop, the three desirable features of Starbucks coffee shop indeed help me learn more efficiently and comfortably.
