A Healthy Change

Do you know that Japanese are the most long-lived human beings in the world? According to World Health Organization (WHO), the average life of female in Japan is the most long-lived age in the world. It says that Japanese can live a long life because they have healthy diets. I think there must be other factors deeply affecting a human's life. There are three changes I had experienced in my daily life and I felt they made my life healthier.

Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy. In my high school life, for preparing the entrance exam I usually stayed up studying until two o'clock. At first, I did not feel any trouble, but I would feel tired the next day. However, after I passed the exam, my health condition became worse. I was diagnosed with anemia. After this incident, I learned a lesson. I would do my best to reduce the time for staying up late. According to a piece of news, a research team at University of Turin in Italy found sleeping time is deeply related to the probability of gaining weight. To sleep on more, the probability of gaining weight would be reduced.

A balanced diet is also important. As a proverb goes, "An apple a day keeps the doctor away." Nowadays, industrialization and urbanization make people live a fast-paced life. Therefore, "fast food" was invented. Fast foods have high calories, and they are salty and greasy. People would suffer from heart disease, high blood pressure, and chronic diseases if they eat too much fast food. While it is convenient for people to get fast food, keeping a balanced diet is the best way to live long and healthy.

Also, doing exercise regularly will benefit everyone. Most people live under great pressure every day. If we do not release our pressure at times, we would feel depressed or even get melancholia. Doing exercise can not only lighten our pressure but also strengthen immune systems and metabolism. Besides, it can make people think positively. Thinking more positively will prevent people from committing suicide.

When I was young, I lived an unregulated life. However, I have changed my life style since I saw my parent tearing for my serious illness. I remember that Grandfather had told me, "My body, hair, and skin are from my parents so I must cherish them." Therefore, every time I saw my friends' bad daily routine I could not stop blaming them and asking them to quit the bad habit. No matter how wealthy or prominent we are, if we are not in good health, we would never be happy eventually.
