Using “Moodle” to Improve Vocational College Students’ English Proficiency

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to exam the effect of Computer-Assisted Language Learning in helping students’ GEPT test. Forty students were selected randomly from one of the vocational college in the Department of Computer and Communication Engineering in Taipei, Taiwan. The subjects were asked to use the on-line GEPT test program which made by Moodle system every week also, they were required to take pre-test and post test regarding to their English proficiency. The finding indicates that students got higher score in GEPT test after using the “Moodle” system.
