Three Kinds of Students

Anson Huang

There are many kinds of students:active, plastic, hard, passive, etc. According to the level of study attitude, I categorize most students into three kinds.

The first group of students are active. They first group of students always preview the text before the class. They concentrate their attention on the class and take notes carefully. They also study hard after school. Sometimes, they ask questions when they are confused. Their problems may be others’ problems. Most students don’t work hard to solve the problems, but they do that. I think this kind of students is active. They can always get high grades in their lessons. For instance, the students of Taiwan University, they usually came out top on exams in the class from elementary school to senior high school.

The second group are flexible, it is similar to the first group. Nevertheless, this group of students would like to relax or enjoy amusements more than the first group. They don’t preview the text before every class. They also pay attention to the class, but they may be distracted or dozed off in the class sometimes. This kind of students always rank in the middle on the exam in the class. For example, most students of Chinese Culture University are this kind of students. Sure. Not all.

The last group are passive students, these students like to burn the midnight oil. They would rather play than study at free time and don’t bend their mind on the lesson. Therefore, they often don’t hand in assignments as required. They just study when the exam is coming soon. Maybe they wouldn’t like to be failed in many subjects. Maybe they would like to mend the sheepfold after a sheep is lost. They usually end up in private colleges or universities like DAYEH University or TOKO University.

No matter how hard we study or how good our grades are in the school, it’ no promise for getting a good job in the future, because the economy is in a slump now, and many people are out of work. Therefore, we don’t need to look down on someone who had bad performance on the school work. The most important thing is we should do what we are interested in.
