An Unusual Experience in Taipei

It is my first time to come to Taipei and I have stayed here for three months already. During this period, I have got to know and felt a lot about different aspects of this city and have had lots of wonderful experiences. However, there was a tortuous thing that still remains in my memory--going to the concert of BIGBANG.

At the beginning, I got to know that BIGBANG would play at Taipei Arena for four days by accident. After hearing the news, I searched online immediately. Unfortunately, there had not been any ticket left. I thought there was no hope to get a ticket via the Internet. So I decided to go to Taipei Arena to find whether there were any more tickets for sale.

On 24th, Sep., I went there with my roommate. We found and waited from 6 pm – 8 pm but there was no one who wanted to sell tickets to us. A large number of fans wearing symbolic clothes and headpieces or carrying their yellow light sticks came to see the concert with great passion. But for us, we could only try to listen to their voice at the B1 floor. I can clearly remember the situation in which we sat on the cold floor with a disappointed mood and a hungry stomach. At last, we went back to school with a feeling of sadness. At night, I even dreamed that I got a chance to go into the Arena unexpectedly and watched the show with great excitement.

On the next day, when I looked through my FB, I found someone willing to sell his tickets. I contacted this strange person and we agreed to meet at the Taipei Arena to make a deal. So we went there and waited again. The worst thing happened. We lost any contact with that man after waiting for one hour. We realized we were deceived and there was only half an hour before the beginning of the show. I believed we would definitely miss this concert. Then, we entered the site and hung out aimlessly. Suddenly, I shot a glance at the ticket lobby. I walked toward it and tried to ask the conductor as the last desperate resort. She told us they still had some tickets but the seats were at the side of the stage. We couldn’t wait to buy them while there was only five minutes left before the show started. We went upstairs anxiously and found the entrance. When we finally sat on our seats, I couldn’t describe how excited I was and still couldn’t believe it was true.

Finally, I enjoyed a fantastic and amazing show. Their performance aroused my enthusiasm and I danced with their music and rhythm all the night. Their show was so magical and attractive that everyone was crazy about it. It was really wonderful when I saw a beautiful yellow light ocean and everyone shook their light together. Though tired, I still enjoyed the awesome incredible night. As tortuous as the process of getting the ticket was, I still felt happy from the bottom of my heart. I will retain this magical experience in my memory all the time.
