  My Parents

     I grew up in a happy family. My parents always support me in many ways. We usually go on weekend trips. And on any family member’s birthday, we would usually have a great feast. Even though we haven’t gone abroad, we have many fabulous memories because of my loving parents. My parents are from two different family backgrounds; hence they have different personality and appearance.

     People often say that I look like my mom, but I don’t agree. In my opinion, I look more like my dad than my mom. My mom is a friendly person. She has many luxurious dresses, but unfortunately, she doesn't look good in them. On the other hand, my father always looks very serious. He doesn’t have many good suits, but all suits look great on him.

     My mother is from a poor family and my father is from a rich family. My grandfather on my mother’s side was a very kind person; he treated everyone well. Many people wanted him to be the village chief. I wish I had known him more, but unfortunately, he died when I was just 2 years old. On the other hand, my paternal grandfather was just the opposite of my maternal grandfather; I heard that he spent a lot of money on gambling. I have never seen him either, but that's fine. I feel in some ways my parents take after their fathers. Like her father, my mother is kind and friendly. While my father’s noble air may have developed in his rich family.

     My mom is a very optimistic woman. I got my optimism from her. I tell my mom almost everything about my school life and my part-time job. This is because of my closeness with my mom. My father is always very serious and pessimistic about everything. I don’t tell him a lot of things about my life. He spends most of his time studying how to climb different mountains. I think it is very boring.

     In conclusion, I have good parents. Although we are not rich, we are very happy. We usually go out together on weekends. I regard my family as the most important thing in my life. My parents are different in many ways: background, looks, and personality, but they love me so much. I think I am a very fortunate girl.
