Time to Face My TOEFL Test

Whenever we talk about tests, we always seem burdened and annoyed. Still, through tests we know what our mistakes are and thus improve ourselves. Further, it is a good indication of our capability. I am a junior right now and it is probably the time to face my TOEFL test for my graduate school. It is never an easy job for me, but I will definitely sink my teeth into this test.

To defeat my enemy, I must know it well. The TOEFL test is a standardized test to measure the English language ability of non-native speakers who wish to enroll in English-speaking universities and graduate schools. It is accepted by many English-speaking academic and professional institutions. To me, the test will decide my destination, so I must prepare well before I take it.

We brace for a test through many ways and I think there are some steps to do this well. First, I should know enough vocabulary words and understand their meaning accurately. Nonetheless, it is not a good idea by only memorizing words. I should realize how to use them in the right context. Next, I can learn from the professional courses that I am taking now. For example, the classes of American and English literature and the selected European literature are good options. It is necessary for me to absorb all the useful knowledge. Third, I can also do the simulated exams to enhance my experience. In brief, the key to getting a good score is to utilize the time efficiently and make the practices work.

I am not a genius and I understand that I must work harder than other smart students. I believe that people can easily handle tests through sufficient practice, especially the international tests like TOEFL, IELTS, CEFR, etc. Thus, by having plenty of training I expect I can reach the level of those brilliant people. It is absolutely a tremendous challenge for me, and yet I have much faith in my capability after I have enough learning and practice.

To conclude, being positive and hard-working is all that I should do undoubtedly. It is necessary to be responsible for myself if I desire to get into a good graduate school and achieve my goal. My job right now is to seize the time and be diligent since no people gain success by doing nothing.
