My Special Trip in the Winter Vacation

Visiting grandparents, my family and I went to Kenting this winter vacation. We went there on the Chinese New Year’s eve by airplane. Because Father still had to work, he came the next morning. On the first day, we helped grandma to clean the house and paste the Spring Festival couplets. At night we had family reunion dinner. We let off fireworks with our cousin and we did have lots of fun. The second day, it was sunny, so Father took us to the beach. The scenery there is beautiful. We also played banana boat. It was an exciting game. Then we built a sand castle. We took a lot of pictures and hoped that they could record the happy memories we had together. On the day before we went back to Taipei, my senior high school classmate, who was also my best friend, arrived. We took the train to Kaohsiung to visit our friend without my family. He took us to look around Kaohsiung. We felt excited at the first time we took the Kaohsiung MRT system. It is a little different from the Taipei MRT system. For example, the seats and armrests are green but they are blue in the MRT in Taipei. It was the first time I went to another city alone. It was an unusual trip and I had a lot of special experiences in this winter vacation.
