Life without Electronic Media

When it comes to the electronic media, most people will think about computers, televisions, cell phones and videogames for searching information and having entertainment. However, if all the electronic media disappeared one day, what could we do for entertainment and how could we contact each other? I think there are three basic ways to solve this situation: they are going outside to do some outdoor activities, reading some books or novels, and writing a letter to someone you want to contact with.

Firstly, we could go outside doing some outdoor activities. For example, we could go outside playing ballgames with friends, fishing at the lake or climbing the mountain to be closer with nature. In the life with electronic media, most people would stay at home playing computers or videogames, watching TV or Facebook for a whole day, and so on. We spend most of our time at home instead of going outside, which will keep us away from nature and make us become less active.

Secondly, we could read some books to increase our knowledge. For example, we could read some English or Chinese books to improve our writing skills and increase the content of our articles. In the life with electronic media, most people would use computers to type the homework or reports, spend time on watching TV programs, which will let us forget how to write words and how to write compositions.

Thirdly, we could write a letter to someone we want to contact or communicate with. For example, we could write a love letter to our lover rather than just texting a message to show our sincere heart; we could write a postcard to our friends instead of just sending an E-mail to say hello. A letter or postcard we write by ourselves could let the receiver feel our sincere mind more.

To summarize, the life without electronic media could let us interact with friends more by playing ballgames or doing outdoor activities, let us have more time to use our brain by writing letters or compositions, and let us get more knowledge by reading books. I think life without electronic media is more interesting than the life with electronic media, because being away from the computers and the TV helps us get more time to do meaningful things instead of just sitting inside and wasting time.
