How do Dolphins Communicate?

Abstract

A large number of people realize that dolphin is a kind of intelligent mammals. However, people do not really understand basic knowledge of dolphin, including its species, communication (sounds and visual signals), vocalization, language, interaction and so on. In fact, dolphin requires communicating with other dolphins when they are in social interaction or in transmission of message. In recent years, researchers also have a significant breakthrough in deciphering dolphin language that there is a series of eight objects have been sonically identified by dolphins; moreover, they can realize simple and complex sentences involving nouns and verbs, this indicates that dolphins comprehend elements of human language. Collecting above a wealth of information, we can be a deeper understanding of dolphin communication; therefore, through different point of view (especially the brain) we can know that dolphin is a kind of intelligent animal.
