A Good Leader

No matter it is in a company, a team or a country, a good leader is needed. The leader is an important role in a group because someone should coordinate the opinions and make the good decision for the group. A good leader should have some qualities. The person should have responsibility and the ability of organizing and great communication skills.

Every good leader should take more responsibilities than others because the leader’s every decision could affect the entire community and could make lots of influence. For example, the biggest news recently is that the president of South Korea has allowed non-politicians to intervene in politics. This case shows us how irresponsible the president is. The reason why the president listens to her best friend’s opinions but not the politicians’ is the biggest problem that every citizen of South Korea wants to know. But with the passing of time, the president didn’t give a good reason for her close friend’s making the decisions for her. The only thing that the president did was apologizing. After this incident, almost all citizens could no longer trust the president because she could not shoulder her responsibility for the nation. The example shows how important the sense of responsibility is for the leader.

A good leader should also have good organizing ability. Coleman Peterson is a really great example for everyone to learn from his leadership. His is the manager of Wal-Mart, which is a big company that has over three million employees. The problem is how Peterson can manage such a large number of employees. The most important skill is that he knows how to organize every part of the company and how to train the employees and assign them right work. I think that his ability of organizing is the biggest reason why he can become the manager of the company.

Moreover, to become a good leader, good communication skills are indispensable. Nobody will choose a leader who only listens to a person’s opinions. Take the manager of the Google company for example. The manager will hold a meeting every week to collect every opinion and creative idea from the members in the company. In Google, you are allowed to give any opinion to the manager if you have a good idea. I think that is why Google can be a great company.

I think the aforementioned three qualities are what a good leader should possess. However, to be a good leader one may need to possess more than the three qualities. There are more knowledge and abilities that a person must have to become a good leader.
