The Three Types of Movies I Like to Watch

      I am very fond of watching movies. Both going to theaters and renting the DVDs from stores are the ways that I watch movies. Maybe some people will say that I am very lucky because there are many kinds of movies in the world. However, I’m not like the professional movie critics or fans who admire all kinds of movies. I’m only interested in watching some specific kinds of movies—Comedy Movies, Action Movies and Animated Movies.

      Comedy­­­ Movies—this type of movies is always more popular than others among not only old people but also children. Because it is easy to be accepted and the plots of this type are always fun and interesting, it is more attractive to people. However, some comedy movies don’t just want to give fun to people. Sometimes there are meaningful themes and issues in the movies, such as relationship, nature and so on, but they are shown to people in funny manners. For example, Click, Bruce Almighty, and Evan Almighty are all classical in Comedy Movies.

      Action Movies—we can understand this type of movies focuses on fighting from the name easily. It usually uses some special methods, such as slow motion, to show the exciting frames with thrilling visual sound effects. And it can always give audience more sensory and visual stimuli. Although some people may think this type of movies is too bloody and violent, I think this is another kind of beauty. Sometimes, those detailed fighting frames make me feel the unique beauty and the directors’ circumspection. Take Triple X and a series of The Transporter for examples. They are classical representatives of this type of movies.

      Animated Movies—this type of movies is a different kind of art because it uses technology completely to display continuous pictures. And most of the contents of animated movies are creative and interesting. Those new ideas are usually the main factors that attract many children. However, there is another reason that makes it interesting to me. Sometimes, I feel the animated movies satisfy my fantasies by making some impossible dreams come true. Take Up for example. I feel it seems possible for me to fly after I watch the movie. I know it is unreal, but it really makes me feel I can do it. And it also makes me feel that if I always try my best to do everything, I will be successful one day. How inspiring the movie is!

      These three kinds of movies are completely different from the others. But there are some special factors that make me interested in them. I think my life would be boring and colorless without them.
