Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

      In my opinion, the most rewarding occupation is food writers. The only job which they need to do is tasting the food from different cities and countries. When they start to evaluate a restaurant, they will choose a restaurant and taste its food over ten times a week. I think everyone heard the Michelin guide, and its food writers should pay the money by themselves to avoid the collusion between the restaurant industry and the food writers. The reason why I think the most rewarding occupation is food writers is because of the influence they exert. Many famous restaurants increase turnover depending on the appraisal they get from the food writers! In the following, I will show how food writers do their job.

      The first step that the food writers do is finding a restaurant, and pretending as a common customer. They will observe the service of the restaurant secretly until they finish the meal. I think they can determine the quality of the restaurant according to the quality of service. A good restaurant can offer not only delicious food, but also great service. We can imagine that a restaurant offers delicious food but the waiter's serving is very slow. What evaluation would you have for this restaurant? The answer must be negative.

      When we visit some countries the first time, we will want to know where we can find the local cuisine, and this time we can consult the Michelin guide. It offers many famous restaurants' information in different countries, not to mention the expensive restaurants. You can choose the restaurants depending on how much money you have, and do not worry about tasting bad food. The evaluation from the Michelin guide is very strict, and its food writers will change their working place every year.

      I think that a food writer not only earns money, s/he also shares good things with people. With food writers’ guidance, we can find the good restaurants in different countries even though we have never been to those places.     

      To sum up, I think being a food writer is the most rewarding job. Food writers can eat many delicious foods in their job, and at the same time they can travel to many different places. Their judgment can influence many customers. If we can read the Michelin guide before we visit a new place, we will reduce many troubles which we may meet and savor the good foods of the place.
