An Interesting Job

I found a job in this summer vacation, and I was an action assistant. I experienced various things that I hadn’t experienced before. This company, called Organic Farm, is located in Miaoli, my hometown. This company’s staff teaches children to know something about rice, such as how to plant rice. There were lots of different groups coming here, for example, families, cram schools, elementary schools and so on. When the lecturers were teaching, I had to stand by them. If they needed me, I had to help them quickly, so I had joined all the actions. I experienced and knew the differences among these actions. The most special experience was reaping rice in the field. I never did such a thing, and I had so much fun doing it but I was very tired. We used sickles, wore leaf hats, and did all things by ourselves, just like traditional farmers. Due to this job, I got to know that farmers were all very hard-working. They had to stand the sun, and always bend down for their work. Their hardship is beyond description. I talked to my friends, and they all decided not to waste food anymore. Although it was very tiring in this job, my friends all envied my having this special job experience.
