Choosing a Rewarding Occupation

There are so many occupations we can choose nowadays. For me, I dreamed I would become a teacher, a policewoman or a scientist when I was a child. After growing up and experiencing many things, I just want to work in a publishing house. There are three reasons why I choose this occupation.

The first reason is that I like reading. I think it is the happiest thing that I can be surrounded by a lot of books. Both the smell of books and the feelings of lines of papers make me have a good mood. Although some people may think it is a boring job, I still want to be a publisher in the future.

The next reason is that I can have the chance to act as an agent for books. Any book lover always wants to recommend other people his or her favorite book. If I work in a publisher house, I can let other readers know more books. Besides, I can republish those out-of-print publications. I think many people feel sorry for the out-of-print publications they want to read. I can bring joy and fine memory to those who are fond of good old stuff.

The last reason is that the work environment is simple. Unlike working in a company, I do not need to have much social contact with my superintendents, colleagues and clients. The workplace relations tend to make people feel oppressed, and I easily feel such oppression. Working in a publisher house means that I can avoid a lot of annoying situations in the workplace.

I think a rewarding occupation is a job in which I am interested and from which I can learn many things. However, this requirement is a little tough to fulfill for most people. Many people cannot find jobs which they really feel satisfied with. Although I cannot be certain that I can perform well and work perfectly, I will be devoted to my job if I can work in a publishing house.
